The prime minister highlighted the importance of safeguarding data, comparing its value to that of money and gold. He stressed that Ethiopia, Kenya, and other African nations should prioritize the development of artificial intelligence technology to protect their sovereignty.
In January 2024, the Director General of the Kenyan National Intelligence Service and his delegation visited the Artificial Intelligence Institute in Ethiopia. Their visit will be remembered for its significance in fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between the two countries.
