The seventh annual Shanghai International Artificial Intelligence Conference and Exhibition took place from July 4 to 6, 2024. . According to information from the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai municipality, the event showcased over 1,500 products and innovations from more than 500 companies.
Key highlights included cutting-edge AI language models, supercomputers, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles. Notably, Chinese company Senstime introduced Sensnova 5.5, a language model poised to compete with Chat GPT-4, particularly in mathematical reasoning.
Senstime also presented Vimy, an interactive app capable of creating realistic videos from a single photo by adjusting facial expressions, body movements, clothing, and lighting.
Additionally, 45 robots were exhibited, with 25 being humanoid, including Tesla’s Optimus. These innovations underscored significant advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics.
