Startups will be chosen based on their capacity to effectively utilize AI in tackling local challenges, the innovativeness and potential for scalability of their AI solutions. Selected start-ups will be granted up to N10 million ($6,000) in funding, as well as access to Google’s extensive resources, such as AI technologies, mentorship, and a global network to facilitate the scaling of their innovation.

This collaboration sets a new standard for AI innovation in Africa, providing African startups with an opportunity to drive economic growth and technological advancement. It is anticipated to catalyze technological development across Africa, empowering entrepreneurs to solve real-world issues through AI.
