The Director General of The Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, Dr. Engineer Worku Gachena, opened the discussion with a speech stating that the country’s development is the result of the collective efforts of all the country’s institutions.
Dr. Worku explained that the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute has been making tireless efforts to fulfill its role and has made significant contributions in the field of artificial intelligence. He urged all employees of the institution to fulfill their responsibilities in order to make the Digital Ethiopia 2025 initiative a reality.
The government’s 2016 Ethiopian fiscal year performance report, presented at the forum, provided detailed information on the performance of the government’s key focus areas.
A presentation was made on the main focus areas of the 2017 Ethiopian fiscal year plan. The employees of the institute subsequently raised questions, which the director general addressed and elucidated.
