The institute signed the Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with Hawassa University and Oda Bultum University, agreeing to collaborate on research, technological knowledge transfer, capacity building and other vital issues.
During the ceremony, the institute’s General Director, Worku Gachena (PhD.) emphasized the vital role that higher educational institutions play in the development of smart cities. The General Director conveyed that the scope of the agreement lays the foundation for improving the accessibility of the institute’s human made technology products and for advancing the modernization of university operations.
The President of Oda Bultum University, Professor Muktar Mohammed, noted that data poses a significant challenge in higher educational institutions, and the partnership with the institute offers a huge opportunity to address this issue.
The President of Hawassa University, Ayano Beraso (PhD.), conveyed a message during the ceremony, stating that the collaboration between the institutions is crucial to supporting research with technology. The President further affirmed that the university will work along with the institute to bridge the technological gap observed in students.
