The third edition of PanAfriCon AI 2024, organized by the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, has concluded on a high note. The conference held at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum attracted over 1,500 participants. Over the course of two days, a total of 24 research topics were presented, featuring in-depth discussions led by experts of the field.
Professor Dr. Achim Ibenthal from Hawk University, a renowned AI leader, delivered the closing remarks. The professor emphasized the pivotal role of young researchers attending the conference in laying the foundation and in opening opportunities for Africa’s AI development. The professor indicated that Africa will be fruitful in pursuing the sector. As a closing remark, the professor expressed gratitude to all involved for making the conference a success.
The conference concluded with an award ceremony, honoring the outstanding contributions of AI researchers and entrepreneurs with financial prizes.
