This year’s green legacy initiative to plant 600 million seedlings in a single day took place on August 23, 2024 starting from the early morning.
Following the national call to participate in the green legacy campaign, the administration and staff of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute joined the nationwide initiative and left their green footprint at the Chaka project.
The institute’s staff expressed their delight in participating in the national call through leaving their green footprint that enhances the country’s biodiversity. They emphasized the importance of integrating this initiative into daily practices rather than limiting it to a once-a-year event.
The program to plant the seedlings took place at the Chaka project, with the institute’s staff members in attendance, alongside accountable institutions from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The administration and staff members of the institute contributed to the initiative by joining the nationwide effort to plant 600 million seedlings in a single day, leaving a lasting environmental impact.
