The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation has been equipped with security cameras and associated equipment by the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, valued at an estimated 15 million Ethiopian Birr.
During the handover, the Director General of the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, Worku Gachena (Engineer), said that the support is given at a time when the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation is organizing itself in a new way.
The Director General emphasized that the assistance would enable a secure implementation of changes. He further highlighted the longstanding collaboration between the two institutes in natural language processing (NLP) and expressed their commitment to future cooperation in software development and various other areas of artificial intelligence technology advancement.
Getenet Tadesse, the CEO of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation, expressed his gratitude for the institute’s support and emphasized the importance of cultivating a collaborative culture to foster institutional growth. He also highlighted the significance of working together and regarded the institute’s support as a testament to this shared objective.
