  • Post category:news

Vayu Robotics unveiled the world’s first on-road delivery robot with a vision system paired with AI for navigation. The robot is capable of effortlessly navigating sidewalks, bike lanes, and roadways. It can even enter stores, unload, and deliver products.

The robot can transport up to 45 kg of cargo and travel up to 112.6 kilometers on one charge. It can mount curbs, open its side door, and deliver packages with its robotic arm. The AI is trained on simulated and real-world data, enabling autonomous operation on roads without pre-mapping.

It is believed to be the most affordable, safest, and most reliable delivery system on the market, as it combines an AI vision system with less expensive sensors. For the time being, the robots will be used to seamlessly deliver products to their customers’ doorsteps, empowering small businesses.

This development will transform the e-commerce delivery sector, reducing costs and improving efficiency. Such robots can also be deployed in food, grocery, and hospital delivery.
